4 samples (.wav format) of water boiling in a large pot, 2 of which include loop points. Recorded with a Sennheiser e835 (dynamic mic) through a Tapco mixer into my M-Audio interface. Available from the Samples page. Enjoy!

Several years ago, I wrote a similar article which gained some popularity due to getting “stickied” on KVR. I’d been thinking about doing an update for a while, and I was recently given some motivation to finish it by some folks posting in the old thread there and showing interest. The new article is now finished, and has been posted to the Articles page:
As a huge fan of the ESQ-1/SQ 80– and Ensoniq synths in general– I couldn’t resist getting Arturia’s new emulation during the introductory sale. Some minor issues aside, it seems to be a great emulation, and I’m having fun with it. I decided to put together a bank of patches for it, including a few sounds from my archive imported via SysEx and modified. The imported files have all caps in the names, and overlap with the SQ-8L bank also available from the Synth Patches page, though these versions are different now.
The SQuee 80 bank includes 48 patches, and is a free download. Enjoy!

As previously mentioned, Particul is another noisebox/sound generator based around two noisy random-ish generators, each with lowpass and bandpass filters, which can then be run through a frequency shifter and delay. It has now been released, and is available from the Reaktor page on this site, or the NI Reaktor User Library.
Particul is another noisebox/sound generator based around two noisy random-ish generators, each with lowpass and bandpass filters, which can then be run through a frequency shifter and delay. The synth itself is finished, and a preview version is available from the FSA Patreon page. The final version will come with a few more presets, but otherwise it’s done. I also need to write the readme, so the preview version has no documentation.
Here’s an audio example:
Added a pack containing 16 .wav-format sounds made from a recording of a contact mic on a large metal bowl. Jingley sounds, scratches, vibrations from a cell phone, etc. See the Samples page to download the zip file.
Thanks to KVR user Erisian for reporting this bug. There was a silly mistake in the installer which made it create the subdirectories for the presets twice, making them invisible to the plugin itself. This error has been fixed, so you can either uninstall it, download the updated installer (same link) and reinstall, or just move the presets from “C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\VST3 Presets\Kevin Breidenbach\FSA Shapeulator\Kevin Breidenbach\FSA Shapeulator” to just “C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\VST3 Presets\Kevin Breidenbach\FSA Shapeulator\”
Sorry for the inconvenience!
A preview version of the upcoming Shapeulator synth plugin is now available from the FSA Patreon. This preview version does not have a finished GUI, a manual, or a preset library, but otherwise the functionality will be the same as the final version. Join the Patreon at any support level to gain access to this and other exclusives.
A couple more SFZ’s have been added to the Samples page, and a couple more Groups have also been added to the Bidule page.
Another pack of exclusive SFZ’s have also been added for supporters over at my Patreon page.
Added a page for Reaktor stuff, so far just one ensemble, Loid’s Cousin, which is based on Lunetta concepts. The ensemble is also available from the Reaktor User Library.
The ensemble is made up of several individual “modules” that interact with each other. The separate modules are available in individual ensemble form as a download for supporters from my Patreon page.
