I’ve decided to start writing a series of articles about obscure audio software on Steemit, first up is Bidule.

Obscure Audio Software: Plogue Bidule – Steemit

This will be an ongoing series of articles, though I’m thinking it might only be every other week or so, since there’s only so many obscure bits of audio software out there worth talking about, and in the case of things I may not be familiar with, I want to have some time to get into it.

Due to some uploading issues, the first one was more of a “Tuesday Morning Noise Session”, but oh well. This is a new thing I’m planning to do regularly. Each one will be a bit different, but the idea is to do some type of live-recorded (no audio editing) audio/video noise session every Monday night on Steemit/DLive. I don’t have the bandwidth to do an actual live stream, so the videos will be pre-recorded, but the audio recording of the performance will be left as-is. The first one was posted late last night:

Fugue State Audio – Monday Night Noise Session 001 – Steemit

Note: upload issues make this more of a “Tuesday Morning Noise Session”, oh well. First of hopefully many weekly noise sessions for DLive, recorded “live”, no editing (I lack the bandwidth to do a proper live stream). Audio is a mix of hardware and software.

The FSA website is back online after a hacking incident. Due to my own negligence, the most recent backup was missing pretty much everything since getting the site back online the first time. The actual content was/is on my PC, so it’s really only news posts that got lost. I think everything that was here before is back, and then some.

The biggest news that’s missing is releases from my musical projects, and there’s been quite a few. Here’s some links to catch you up:

EP, album, 20-year anniversary collections @ Skin Contact bandcamp: https://skincontact.bandcamp.com/

See the main SC site for further news on remixes, collabs, and other stuff that happened over the last year or so.

Fugue State releases on Degenerate Trifecta: there has been a digital EP and a split with Mrs. Dink on cassette/digital, which I’m very excited about.

In other news, Fugue State Audio is now on the blockchain. I have started posting on Steemit, and have uploaded a bunch of stuff from the backcatalog on Musicoin.org and Dsound, which is a sort of SoundCloud-alike linked to the Steemit platform. I haven’t completely decided to ditch everything else in favor of these yet, but I will be focusing more on these from here on out.
