As a huge fan of the ESQ-1/SQ 80– and Ensoniq synths in general– I couldn’t resist getting Arturia’s new emulation during the introductory sale. Some minor issues aside, it seems to be a great emulation, and I’m having fun with it. I decided to put together a bank of patches for it, including a few sounds from my archive imported via SysEx and modified. The imported files have all caps in the names, and overlap with the SQ-8L bank also available from the Synth Patches page, though these versions are different now.
The SQuee 80 bank includes 48 patches, and is a free download. Enjoy!
As previously mentioned, Particul is another noisebox/sound generator based around two noisy random-ish generators, each with lowpass and bandpass filters, which can then be run through a frequency shifter and delay. It has now been released, and is available from the Reaktor page on this site, or the NI Reaktor User Library.
Another one made with the free Eurorack simulator VCV Rack. The patch used is available below (and on the synth patches page). The video was once again generated with MilkDrop via the Shpeck plugin in foobar2000.
Particul is another noisebox/sound generator based around two noisy random-ish generators, each with lowpass and bandpass filters, which can then be run through a frequency shifter and delay. The synth itself is finished, and a preview version is available from the FSA Patreon page. The final version will come with a few more presets, but otherwise it’s done. I also need to write the readme, so the preview version has no documentation.
The sounds in this one come from a 7-string Ibanez guitar being processed in Bidule, with amp/pedal sims & other stuff. The video is footage captured from the game Superflight, processed with Acid Cam.
